AXS Guard on Azure

About this Document

In this document, we explain how to deploy AXS Guard on Microsoft Azure.

AXS Guard on Azure

A Microsoft Azure account is required. See https://azure.microsoft.com.

Log in to https://portal.azure.com
Select Resource Groups.
Click on Add.
Enter a name for the resource group.
Select the West Europe region.
Complete the wizard and click on Create.
Once the resource group is created, refresh the page and open the resource group by clicking on its name.

Click on Create resources.
Search for AXS Guard in the Marketplace.
Click on Create.
Enter the information as prompted.
- Username: the username that must be entered to log in to the AXS Guard web-based configuration tool.
- Password: the password that must be entered to log in to the AXS Guard web-based configuration tool.
Complete the wizard and wait for the validation results.
If validation passed, click on Create to initialize the deployment of your AXS Guard appliance.
Wait for the deployment process to complete.

Open the resource group that you created earlier.
Click on the name of the virtual machine.
Copy the DNS name of the VM. You will need this to configure your AXS Guard appliance.
Under Settings, select Networking.
Add an inbound port rule as shown below:

Start a browser.
Navigate to the DNS name you copied earlier (port 82), e.g. https://axsguard-vm-fc4362b187.westeurope.cloudapp.azure.com:82.
Accept the self-signed certificate.
Log in with the username and password that you specified during the creation of the resource.
Configure your AXS Guard appliance as explained in the Getting Started guide.

If you encounter a problem with AXS Guard, follow the steps below:

Check the troubleshooting section of the feature-specific manual.
Check the knowledge base on this site for information about special configurations.
If no solution is available in any of the above sources, contact your AXS Guard vendor.
