AXS One VPN Client

Introduction

The AXS One VPN client is a purpose-built ZTNA solution designed for seamless integration with the AXS One VPN server. Its cross-platform architecture ensures consistent deployment across all endpoints, from high-performance workstations to mobile devices. This document is intended for system administrators and IT professionals and explains how to download and install the client.

Obtaining the Software

1. Log in to the Cyber Resilience Portal.

2. Navigate to the Download Center.

   

3. Select the appropriate installer for your OS.

Before you Begin

Desktop Client Installation

Microsoft Windows

1. Log in to your Windows workstation as an administrator.
2. Find the location where you downloaded the installer.
3. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

4. Click the tray icon to create a new connection and enter the Management URL provided by your system administrator:

   • If the Management URL does not include a port (e.g. axsone.example.com), enter it as is; this means the management server is running on port 443.

   • If the Management URL includes a port (e.g. axsone.example.com:4443), make sure to enter it.

     

5. Click on the Connect button and enter your user credentials when prompted.

7. If the corporate network is unreachable, contact your system administrator to trust the client. Depending on the server configuration, system administrators must explicitly trust endpoints before they can connect to the corporate network.

macOS

1. Double-click the .pkg file to start the installation wizard.
2. Follow the on-screen prompts.
3. Enter your password or use Touch ID to authorize the installation.

4. Click the tray icon to create a new connection and enter the Management URL provided by your system administrator:

   • If the Management URL does not include a port (e.g. axsone.example.com), enter it as is; this means the management server is running on port 443.

   • If the Management URL includes a port (e.g. axsone.example.com:4443), make sure to enter it.

     

5. Click on the Connect button and enter your user credentials when prompted.

Linux

1. Open your terminal.

2. Find the location where you downloaded the packages (usually Downloads):

   cd ~/Downloads

3. Install the packages:

   • core package: sudo dpkg -i AXS_ONE_64*.deb
   • UI package: sudo dpkg -i axs_one-ui_64*.deb

4. Search for AXS One in your application menu and start the app.

5. Click the tray icon to create a new connection and enter the Management URL provided by your system administrator:

   • If the Management URL does not include a port (e.g. axsone.example.com), enter it as is; this means the management server is running on port 443.

   • If the Management URL includes a port (e.g. axsone.example.com:4443), make sure to enter it.

     

6. Click on the Connect button and enter your user credentials when prompted.
